Angel Faced Arsonist is I am the Unicorn Head’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
“Angel Faced Arsonist” opens with a bright and curious arpeggio, like a spark flickering in low light.

The melody doesn’t reveal its intention right away, and that uncertainty adds intrigue.
Soon, however, the track steps into the psychedelic universe that I Am the Unicorn Head have carefully carved over their releases. The progression feels futuristic and nostalgic, as if drifting through vapor-lit dreams and forgotten radio transmissions.
As the rhythm grows, the song gains momentum with a hypnotic pulse. The guitars begin to bounce in unpredictable patterns, drawing you into an unstable groove. This tension works. One moment you sway in a trance-like cadence, and the next you’re floating through atmospheric fragments that feel mysterious, slightly off-kilter, and wonderfully immersive. Even with these shifts, the band keeps a consistent emotional thread, showing their knack for adventurous indie rock that never drifts too far from accessibility.
The vocal delivery enhances that sensation. Layered background harmonies rise like moonbeans behind the lead voice, shaping a mystical tone that defines the group’s forward-looking vision. The lyrics ride that same experimental spirit. Therefore, the track becomes an experience, not simply a story.
Toward the end, an expressive guitar solo unfurls with a soaring, almost cosmic energy. It doesn’t show off; instead, it expands the emotional atmosphere and guides the listener through a final climb before releasing them gently. Because of that journey, the song feels alive and unpredictable while still maintaining purpose and flow.
Ultimately, “Angel Faced Arsonist” refuses to play things safe. It embraces imagination, curiosity, and artistic risk, offering a vibrant trip through modern psych-indie textures. It is music built for those who enjoy stepping beyond familiar musical lines, even if just for four and a half minutes of beautifully strange wonder.

Angel Faced Arsonist is I am the Unicorn Head’s Single Out Now
I am the Unicorn Heads is an Anglo/American Alternative indie band.
The inspiration for “Angel Faced Arsonist” sparked during a memorable evening in Brighton, when band member Kid A met up with close musical friends from The Margaret Hooligans and The Qwarks. Amidst laughter, conversation, and creative energy, one member (who will remain nameless) shared a startling confession: as a teenager, they had accidentally set fire to a school building, and burnt it to the ground. That moment of candid honesty lit the fuse for what would become this powerful song.
