This music refreshed me like the sea breeze on a hot August day.

The thing that intrigued me the most is the way this artist plays the guitar which reminded me of the Mediterranean. Those houses made of bricks and stones, those green hills that fall into the sea.

Charlie Rauh’s expressiveness is enviable and his passion is transformed into melodies and notes. An artist who has studied the guitar a lot in order to achieve this mastery.

Angels Of Annunciation is a mature and solid album, it is a musical gift that Charlie Rauh has decided to give us.

The notes fall on you like spring rain and bring back distant memories. An artist with an artistic vision that goes well beyond music.

The message contained in these songs is a suggestion to never forget the past stories that have enriched our present.

Absolutely recommended!

NYC based guitarist/composer Charlie Rauh has been invited to be resident composer by such organizations as The Rauschenberg Foundation, The Klaustrid Foundation, and The Chen Dance Center. His work as a soloist has been supported by grants from Meet The Composer, The Untitled Artist Group, and The Fractured Atlas Group. Rauh’s approach to solo guitar composition takes inspiration from folk lullabies, plainchant, and the imagery of various poets ranging from the Brontës to Anna Akhmatova. Acoustic Guitar Magazine notes that “Charlie Rauh plays guitar with a quiet intensity, each note and chord ringing with purpose…With these lullabies Rauh gives a gentle reminder that playing soft and slow can be more impactful than loud and fast.”

Angels Of Annunciation tells the story—or, to be more precise, one possible story—of Anne Morrow Lindbergh (1906-2001). Despite witnessing almost the twentieth century’s full course, her wings spanned a landscape far greater than any defined by the hyphen between her years.
