Blood Cocktail is Afternoon In The Park’s Single Out Now
This isn’t background music—it’s the type of tune that takes control of the room within seconds.
The rhythm section is locked in tight: drums snap with purpose while the bassline slithers and thumps in perfect unison, creating a groove that’s difficult to resist.
Guitars chime in with tasteful distortion—never overbearing, but full of drive—and they sit right in the pocket, supporting the track’s movement without overshadowing it. There’s a certain swagger in how they play, echoing the cool confidence of early 2000s indie rock, but with a cleaner, funkier twist.
The vocals, delivered with a tone that cuts through cleanly, add character and urgency. There’s grit, melody, and just enough attitude to carry the track over the top. You can tell this band is tight—not just technically, but creatively. Every element in Blood Cocktail feels deliberate, focused, and energetic.
If this is your first taste of Livin’ Around The Sun, it won’t be your last. Afternoon In The Park knows how to hit the gas without losing control, and this track is a fine example of their sharp musical instincts. I suggest you to listen to the entire album, you will be entertained.

Blood Cocktail is Afternoon In The Park’s Single Out Now
Afternoon In The Park is a French indie rock band led by four seasoned musicians: Yamin Alma (vocals, electric guitar), Ari (electric guitar), Julien (drums, programming), and Thomas (bass).
The project began when Yamin started recording demos in his home studio and caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, The Libertines, Regina Spektor), who was drawn to the band’s distinctive songwriting and Yamin’s voice.
Their sound is inspired by artists like The Strokes, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, The Hives, The Kooks, and Phoenix, blending high-energy rock with raw guitars, punchy drums, and poetic yet accessible English lyrics.
The band name was born in Hyde Park, London, where Yamin would spend his afternoons writing songs — a creative period that shaped the project’s introspective and humanist spirit.
