Kicking things off with “Howling,” the band paves the way for what’s to come—a track that blends the modern energy of rock with nods to past influences.

There’s a clear connection to bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Muse, both of whom are reflected in the track’s intense rhythm and gritty riffs. “Howling” establishes a sense of urgency and strength, pulling the listener into the album’s world right from the start.

Then comes “Meltdown,” a slower, more introspective ballad. This track shows a different side of the band, with the lead vocalist demonstrating impressive vocal range. It’s a mournful piece, evocative of twilight, perfect for those quiet moments when you’re lost in thought.

The contrast between the high-energy opener and this subdued ballad highlights the band’s ability to experiment with varied moods while maintaining a consistent emotional depth.

“Out of Order” takes things in a darker, more dystopian direction. The song evokes imagery of post-apocalyptic worlds, reminiscent of films like Mad Max. The sense of chaos is palpable, and the driving beat makes it feel like the soundtrack to a chase through a crumbling, future world.

“Fall for Nothing” reintroduces the infectious energy the band is known for. This track shows the synergy that’s clearly developed within the band, a product of countless hours spent in rehearsal, honing their craft. The intensity is unmatched, and it’s easy to imagine this track as a live favorite, electrifying crowds with its raw power.

“Comeback” delivers another punch with its forceful, almost mechanical structure, delivering a chorus that shakes things up with its sharp, jagged rhythm.

Then there’s “No Ties,” where the vocals take on a theatrical flair. It’s a more experimental piece, balancing between rock and theatrical performance, and offering a unique moment on the album.

“Away” brings back the grander, more sweeping feel with its epic melody, and by the time we reach the final track, “Hole in Between,” the band proves they can handle quieter, more intimate moments just as well as the high-energy tracks. The song builds gradually, taking the listener on an emotional journey with melodies that feel personal and universal.

Throughout Blurry Visions, Vegas on Bass displays an impressive range of styles, from heavy rock anthems to reflective ballads. The band’s chemistry is evident, and the album’s diversity shows that they’re capable of much more than just one sound. With a solid vision and an ever-growing potential, this is definitely a band to watch.

Vegas on Bass was born in Bologna in 2022 from the meeting between Adriano Cosi (vocals) and Luca Ferriani (drums), with the plan to create energetic and positive music.
From the very beginning, they stood out for their performances that charged up the audience, performing in the clubs and the streets of the city, mixing modern rock and melodies straight to the heart.
In 2023 they set off on a tour culminating with two dates in London, where they were welcomed with great enthusiasm.
Upon their return, the band covered their garage with polystyrene and amaranth curtains to record their first EP Circle, released in January 2024 and presented at Covo Club in Bologna.
In 2024 they played more shows and festivals throughout Italy, while recording their first album. The actual line up also features Lorenzo Cosi (guitar and production) – who’s also Adriano’s brother – and Luigi (bass), as a close-knit group of long-time friends.
