Kwyjibo is the solo project of Charlie Lord, who performs every instrument and vocal part. The only outside collaborator is Noah Althoff, who handled production, mixing, and mastering for the track Dark Again. The two connected online through music forums, sharing a DIY ethos and a deep love for alternative music.
This release blends Charlie’s core influences—from the emotional resonance of 3rd Wave emo bands like Jimmy Eat World and Death Cab for Cutie, to the dreamy, expansive textures of shoegaze-influenced acts like Balance & Composure and Citizen. It’s a personal and unfiltered reflection of the artists that shaped him.
