E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Echo Hotel

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Echo Hotel. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I like their unique way of composing music.

Are you ready for an intimate and fascinating journey? A sound capable of making you travel with the imagination that will transport you to another universe.

The chord progression and harmonic intuitions in some passages reminded me of Radiohead.

An eclectic and never banal compositional style. The choice of sounds is fantastic and the melodies are articulate.

The voice is unique with its high and engaging timbre.

I closed my eyes as I listened to the music of this talented band and wandered around the universe landing on unknown planets.

This music bewitched me and as soon as it was over I immediately hit the play button to make another trip.

A fantastic discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Hangers On is Echo Hotel’s Single Out Now!

Unique and Beautiful!

Quote: “We’re a three-piece Bristol based alt-rock band that started off as the unrefined Soundcloud project of vocalist and guitarist Ed Hambly, with drummer Jack Holliday and bassist James Waldron joining the band in early 2018.

We made our live debut in the sticky floors and sweaty walls of the venerable Exeter Cavern, and took to the studio in 2019 with producer Jonathan Segar to capture the energy and the emotion of the live show we created in Exeter and later honed in Bristol.

‘Hangers On’ is the final single we recorded in these sessions. We wanted it to present the emotional cost of hedonism and the shallowness of a rotating cast of afterparty acquaintances. We wanted it to reflect second-hand alienation and sleeplessness”.
