FLY is Phil Marinucci’s Single

Today we are faced with a very eclectic artist. His artistic vision is not limited to music but also ranges from graphic design, 3d modeling, etc.

When artists manage to be so complete, becoming an individual record label they have all my respect.

Nowadays the more things you can do by yourself the more you have the possibility to keep your project alive.

Fly is a song composed in the 80s I think is very smart to release it now that the 80s are making a comeback. Look for example what happened to Kate Bush with Stranger Things…Fly would be a perfect song for that TV series.

Surely we are dealing with an artist with great compositional experience and with a developed and solid artistic taste.

Phil Marinucci is an artist to follow closely as he produces quality music.

The new track ‘FLY’ pays homage to AOR rock music of the 80’s, written and arranged to sound like music from that era; including song traits like vocal stacking, guitar stacking, harmony vocals, lots of keyboard work, big production sound and more.

The track was originally written in the 80’s, but was never produced. It was during the pandemic that the work resurfaced and studio production began. The track was developed over a two year period with the focus of creating an 80’s AOR rock track in terms of sound and style.

Since the track was developed during the pandemic, the lyrics were re-written to create a more uplifting and positive message to help those who needed it. I also created the artwork for the single, again following the 80’s aesthetic during that timeframe.
