Mark Vennis & Different Place are a punk-roots band from Petersfield, Hampshire, blending punk, reggae, ska, and blues into a sharp, socially aware sound. Drawing inspiration from The Clash, The Jam, The Kinks, as well as Wire, Gang of Four, and classic roots reggae, the band balances raw energy with groove and attitude.
Formed in 2009 by Mark Vennis and Dave Sweetenham, the core lineup also features Sean Quinn and Brian Gee. Their debut album, Uncharted Water, was released in 2012, marking the start of their journey as a band rooted in tradition but driven by urgency and edge.
