The opening track, “Abolir,” immediately transports the listener into a shadowed world. The atmosphere is tense, mysterious, and cinematic. Uneasy harmonies and unstable arpeggios move like broken machinery in an abandoned world. There is an otherworldly vibe to the production—cold, yet beautiful. Sairen builds an emotional universe without relying on lyrics; he uses tone, texture, and movement instead. The track feels like the soundtrack to a psychological voyage—dark but magnetic.
On “Thelxiope,” the EP deepens its nocturnal character. Here, Sairen introduces distorted bass textures that growl like distant wolves under a full moon. Subtle melodic phrases cut through the haze, floating in like signals in deep space. The rhythmic weight is slow and deliberate, but tension lingers in every second. Fragmented melodies and drifting ambience collide, creating a haunted and dreamlike experience. It is art driven by emotion rather than structure.
“Livermorium” is the most gripping moment on the EP. It opens with a guitar phrase that echoes a similar mood to Alice in Chains’ “Check My Brain,” though the comparison ends there—Sairen twists the idea into something more instrumental, more atmospheric. The track evolves with careful pacing, rising in intensity without ever losing its sense of mystery. There is a mirage-like quality in how it unfolds, leading the listener into a sonic hallucination of echoing harmonics and layered anxiety.
The closing piece, “Royal Phoenix,” begins with a haunting church organ reminiscent of The Phantom of the Opera—dramatic and ominous. Yet this track is also the most redemptive moment on the EP. While darkness persists, there is finally a suggestion of hope. Light begins to push through the decay, as if dawn is breaking over a dystopian skyline. It is a powerful final chapter—mystic, expressive, and beautifully unresolved.
