“I’d Have Grabbed You A Chair,” Shannon’s smoky, intense vocals pave the way for an album steeped in emotional depth and authenticity.

“I’d Have Grabbed You A Chair” hits hard with its haunting atmosphere, giving us an early taste of Shannon’s ability to craft a mood that sticks.

The richness of his voice lingers in your mind, as if pulling you into a world that feels ancient and deeply personal. His tone is immediately striking, with an intensity that doesn’t need to be explained—it simply captivates.

The second track, “Come Down To The River,” sees Shannon introducing folk influences that are impossible to ignore. There are moments here where his voice conjures a blend of Bruce Springsteen’s gravitas and Chris Cornell’s emotive delivery, creating an intriguing balance between tenderness and strength.

The vocals of Kesha Parish, who joins him on harmonies, create a seamless blend of masculinity and femininity that elevates the track to something ethereal and unforgettable.

The title track, “Hello Forever,” paints a picture of the mist and moss of Connemara, capturing the essence of Shannon’s Irish roots. This song is a bridge between the past and present, embodying nostalgia and timelessness in its gentle, reflective melody.

It’s one of those tracks where you can almost feel the mist rising from the Irish hills, making it a perfect representation of the artist’s connection to his heritage.

“Everybody Got Crazy In Them” shifts gears with a bit more rock influence, adding a raw, energetic edge that contrasts with the more subdued mood of the previous songs. Shannon’s musical versatility shines here, drawing from influences that span across genres while still keeping a firm grasp on his unique voice.

The rock-infused elements of this track give the album a nice range, showing Shannon’s adaptability as both a singer and songwriter.

“Dear Daddy What Would You Do” brings a sexy, mysterious rhythm that feels almost cinematic in its delivery. The vibe here reminded me of “Making With Ya” from Queen of the Stone Age, capturing a sleek, smooth energy that’s intriguing and a little dangerous.

The introspective “Night Is Dark” is a standout, delving deep into the human psyche with a haunting yet beautiful intensity. Shannon’s voice here reaches into the darker corners of your soul, pulling out something vulnerable and raw.

When Chanele’s female vocals enter, it’s mesmerizing—adding a layer of enchantment that feels like the final touch on a perfect piece.

“Dark November” takes a more Balkan-inspired approach, evoking the feeling of walking alone in the rain through the streets of Dublin. It’s the kind of track that creates an atmosphere, painting a scene of solitude that feels introspective and contemplative.

There’s a quiet, brooding nature to the song that leaves a lasting impression—perfect for those reflective moments when you need to be alone with your thoughts.

The album closes with an alternate version of “Dream Of You Tonight,” which we already encountered earlier in the tracklist. It’s refreshing to hear the same song dressed in a new arrangement, offering a new perspective while maintaining the essence of what made the original so powerful.

In Hello Forever, Eoin Shannon delivers an album that showcases his remarkable songwriting ability and deep emotional resonance. The music feels genuine and direct, touching the heart in ways that only a truly talented artist can.

There’s a special kind of magic in his voice, and it’s only enhanced by the stunning vocal harmonies that appear throughout the album.
