Dashed To Shivers is a band from the Münsterland region of Germany that manages to create a unique symbiosis of 80s synths, indie rock and screamo. A mixture of haunting choruses and harmonious melodies, which are repeatedly interrupted by harder parts. The four musicians’ repertoire is just as varied as their different musical influences, which range from blues rock and atmospheric film music to post-hardcore, metal and punk rock. Dominik (guitar) and Steve (drums) founded the band in 2018. A little later, André (guitar) joined the band project and expanded the duo. The initial phase was characterised by the search for the right musical genre and other band members’ constant coming and going. However, as no one could be found for the long term, the decision was made to compensate for the absence with synth sounds, thus unknowingly opening the door to the group’s current unique sound.
