There’s an unmistakable vintage rock flavor here, warm and full of heart. Moreover, the rhythm section moves with confidence and gives the tune its steady pulse. You feel adventure and nostalgia hand in hand, carried by a melody that lingers in your memory.
Then “Ghost Town” slides in with slower pacing, yet it keeps the soul glowing. The guitar tone remains rich, and the piano adds warmth and character. “Gladys” closes the record with mystique and ambition. Progressive flourishes twist through bluesy grit, while an expressive Hammond organ glides under intricate melodic lines. The arrangement unfolds with curiosity and patience, and the finale lands firmly, tying the journey back to the group’s classic-rock bones.

Ignatius Reilly is a veteran Denver, Colorado rock band known for its straightforward sound, mixing alt-country and southern rock with soulful blues, funk rhythms, and the groove of New Orleans.
The band features Mark Brut (bass), Eric Bullock (guitar), Ethan Ice (keys), and “Birddog” Jeff Lane (drums).
Their latest release is the nine-track album …In the Dog House (2025), which was recorded in one live session and features a mix of new material, songs from their 2024 release Superstitions Fade, and tracks from their back catalog.
