Mariposa is Sehore’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
Sehore delivers another striking track with Mariposa, a piece that blends traditional influences with modern and avant-garde artistic freedom.
Mariposa is Sehore’s Single Out Now
Opening with an arpeggio that hints at a country-tinged style, the song quickly shifts, transporting the listener to the lush landscapes of the Basque region—where nature reigns and the “Mariposa” of its namesake soars freely.
The folk-infused elements are undeniable, yet there’s an unpredictable energy at play.
The hypnotic vocals pull you in, like a spell cast beneath the glow of a setting sun. Every note feels like a gust of wind, carrying the weight of untold stories, while the instrumental layers build and collapse like waves against a rugged coastline.
This is raw expression, unfiltered and emotionally charged, a song that doesn’t just play—it moves, twists, and evolves like something alive.
Perhaps the most intriguing moment arrives at the abrupt ending, a creative decision that feels like a sonic guillotine, cutting the listener off in a way that surprises yet makes perfect sense in the unpredictable world Sehore has crafted.
Mariposa is both danceable and introspective, inviting movement while allowing space for deep reflection.

Mariposa is Sehore’s Single Out Now
Sehore is a newly emerging musical project that began its journey in 2025 with the release of its debut album, Ladencia. The project presents an alternative approach to songwriting, blending familiar chord progressions with unconventional harmonies often avoided in mainstream music.
Sehore’s core proposal is an alternative blend of songs composed with standard chord progressions contrasted with other harmonies that are typically avoided and referred to as dissonances (“Pesadilla,” “Mañana,” “Safari,” “Vals,” etc.). The tracks play with kitsch and a “cheesy” style, steering away from emulating a specific era and instead combining rhythms from different periods. However, listeners are free to interpret the music however they wish. The album intentionally includes noises that, while reducing sound cleanliness, add a more natural feel.
Recorded at Paco Loco Studio.
Mastered at Kadifornia by Mario G. Alberni.
