Good Day Noir Family,
There is a magnetic pulse running through “Prizraky v Tmach” that instantly hooks you into its mysterious world.

Mars_999 builds the track on a hypnotic groove that anchors everything like a heartbeat, while layers of synths coil and drift around it.

Their textures are thick yet fluid, creating a sensation of floating inside an electronic veil. It’s not just background; these synth lines constantly shimmer, overlap, and pulse, shaping the song’s character with every subtle shift.

The vocals arrive as if emerging from a dream. They are intimate but not fragile, echoing through the haze with a detached poise that contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the groove. Between verses, the track slips into a fully instrumental section, and this is where its spell deepens. Time seems to stretch out, and the absence of vocals makes the synth layers feel even larger, as if they are suspending you in a weightless limbo. It’s an unexpected break that gives the song a cinematic sense of space.

When the beat returns, the energy swells again, carrying you forward until everything gently dissolves into a lone electronic tone. That final sound feels like a coded message fading into the distance, leaving behind a trace of mystery. The accompanying video perfectly reflects this energy, with its esoteric tarot imagery and theatrical visuals that resemble a modern, psychedelic twist on The Phantom of the Opera. It turns the song into a full sensory ritual—part performance, part dream.

“Prizraky v Tmach” shows an artist unafraid to blur structure and mood, balancing rhythm and abstraction with effortless grace. It’s a piece that feels alive, breathing and morphing as it moves.

Enigmatic!

“It’s a simple song about something that’s only simple on the surface,” says MARS_999. “Inside, it’s rain, pulse, and shadow. I wanted the analog to breathe—and the bass to feel like a second heart.”

Mars_999 is the solo project of Slovak musician Juraj Péč, born from a shift in creative mindset—from collaborative band work to an entirely self-driven process. After years of internal struggle, he embraced full independence, recording songs in his bedroom and later refining them with Australian producer Rohin Brown at Prague’s Faust Studio. Rooted in analog synths and emotional immediacy, his music is personal, experimental, and reflective. The name Mars_999—tied to his astrological sign, numerology, and a past track title—captures a sense of identity, drive, and evolution.
