The Mommas and the Tapas is LECTRICS’ Ep Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
LECTRICS waste no time diving headfirst into their EP The Mommas and the Tapas, opening with On A Pavement, a high-energy alternative rock track laced with a distinct British attitude.

The vocals carry an irreverence that adds to the song’s infectious punch, while the composition stands out with its raw, unfiltered delivery. The track is immediate, a feeling that the band isn’t holding anything back.

Following up is This Land Is My Land, a song that keeps the momentum rolling with sharp arpeggios and a driving guitar riff.

There’s a slightly dystopian feel in its atmosphere, a tension simmering beneath the surface, yet the energy remains relentless. These musicians have spent significant time refining their chemistry, as everything locks into place with precision and grit.

On A Ladder might just be the EP’s most forceful track. The chord progressions twist in unexpected ways, creating dynamic shifts that keep the listener engaged. LECTRICS prove difficult to pin down,  blending elements of rock, punk, and alternative without losing their distinct identity.

The balance they strike between raw aggression and thoughtful composition sets them apart.

With The Mommas and the Tapas, LECTRICS carve out their own space in the modern rock landscape, offering an EP that feels urgent and carefully crafted. This is a band worth keeping an eye on.
