Good Day Noir Family,
From the start of “We Are All But Nothing,” Garrow Hill waste no time setting the mood.

The track kicks off with a nearly industrial drum pattern and a snarling wall of guitars that feel like they’ve been ripped straight from the shadows of an ‘80s horror film.
The atmosphere is heavy and unmistakably dark, echoing the tension you’d find in a John Carpenter score, but reimagined with a full-throttle rock approach. The vocals emerge from the haze like a figure in the fog—gritty, intense, and slightly theatrical. You can practically picture the neon-drenched alleyways and slow-moving mist while the story unfolds.
What makes Garrow Hill stand out is their ability to straddle multiple territories without losing direction. “We Are All But Nothing” blends the raw aggression of classic hard rock with a melodic undercurrent that softens the edges just enough to make the whole thing stick. There’s a touch of prog in the way the song shifts gears—never in a rush, always intentional.
You’ll notice especially in the final stretch: the tempo opens up into a ride of Valkyries, a pulse-racing shift that feels like a gallop right to the powerful finish. That rhythmic burst adds a triumphant edge to the ending, giving the track an epic send-off.
Even with obvious nods to the past, nothing feels recycled. The band’s songwriting brings a modern edge, using familiar textures to build something that feels distinctly theirs. And while it’s dark and heavy, it’s never bloated—this is a song with purpose and structure.
There’s also a solidity to the mix that’s hard to ignore. Everything feels nailed down and locked in, from the pounding drums to the razor-sharp riffs. This is a band that knows exactly how they want to sound—and they execute it with precision.
You can easily imagine them sharing the stage with legends. In fact, Garrow Hill wouldn’t have felt out of place opening for Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell tour—there’s a kindred energy here that fans of Black Sabbath will immediately recognize.
“We Are All But Nothing” is dark, loud, well-constructed, and that final galloping rhythm gives it an exhilarating finish.
