The sound proposed by this band is very refined and cared for in every little detail.

You immediately realize that you are in front of great musicians with a complete and mature artistic vision.
The compositional style is futuristic and innovative.

The choice of sounds is very well thought out and the chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

The rhythmic variations are also excellent with musical arrangements of the highest quality and practically a perfect execution.

The music of the ioish is as articulate and refined as the culture of their beautiful country, India.

What You Need It For is a masterpiece that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Listen to it several times and savor it in small sips like a glass of aged whiskey.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

loish (pronounced eye-o-ish) was founded by Vaibhav Bhutani in 2012,

A prolific producer based in Delhi. At its genesis, it was merely a home studio project which later found some traction upon the enlisting of Abhinav Chaudhary on bass and Anshul Lall on drums, both of them being known figures in the Indian independent music scene. The trio indulged in creating and playing music in the ambient/ post-rock genre of music.

Ioish’s sound is a mix of soulful guitars layered with atmospheric textures which are soaked in melodious grooves and riffs evoking a progressive rock feel. The music gives the audience an immersive and moody trip, one that they can engage onto quickly.
