The sinister and intriguing intro of this song immediately hooked me. The compositional style of this band is truly original… weirdly fascinating!

The chord progression and dynamic construction of Whose is this DNA? it’s not at all obvious and banal. There are unexpected changes in rhythm and harmonic variations that entertain you for the entire duration of the song.

Dutch Schultz managed to mix different influences and make them coexist in an innovative musical blend. Rock, Alternative, and Punk live in a coherent equilibrium.

The energy unleashed by this song is contagious. I have become a fan of this band right away.

Their sound took me back in time to the early 90s but the tune still feels fresh and modern and, in the end, lives in a timeless limbo.

Dutch Schultz is a great band, with a clear artistic vision and produces fantastic music.

“Whose Is This DNA?” is saying healthcare reaches too quickly for SSRIs, it’s an anti-antidepressant song, they do help people, they also hurt people and are far too easily prescribed. And they make lots of money.

Dutch Schultz recorded and produced the single themselves, collaborating with producer Dan Austin (Pixies, Doves, You Me At Six) for mixing duties.

The result is a polished and impactful track that speaks to the importance of standing up for oneself, living life on one’s own terms, and finding happiness outside of material things.Whether you’re a long-time fan of Dutch Schultz or discovering them for the first time, ‘Whose Is This DNA?’ is a must-listen.
