E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Lapels

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Lapels. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the vibes of their music.

This band offers a sound in typical English style. They reminded me of Oasis and the Verve.

These guys offer some very catchy songs that stay in your head for a long time.

A band that has certainly spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable sound understanding.

A crystalline, slightly acidic sound produced in a professional way.

The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

A really nice discovery, a band to keep under the radar because they have a bright future ahead of them.

Fresh and Catchy!

Meet Nathan, Andy, Will and Adam who together form Lapels; a 4-piece band of singer/songwriter/musicians whose honest, no-fuss take on indie/pop, is fast becoming likened to a Blur/Oasis-esque evolution of those early days of mid-90s Britpop. Lyrically depicting everyday mundane ‘stuff’, Lapel’s candid approach to British guitar based pop, resonates with audiences for its relevance and honesty.

Formed in 2018, the band began gigging across the East Midlands and quickly had to find a band name to go onto a gig flyer; because they were all wearing jackets at the time, ‘lapels’ was the first word that connected them all. Lapels were born. 2021 saw Lapels signing their first major deal with Marquee Records.
