our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Asterous. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I like the atmosphere created by their music.
The music of this duo made me step back into the past.
Their sound hides 70s vibes rediscovered in a more modern key and for a moment, as I listened to the beautiful melody of their new single, I imagined myself driving a motorcycle through the streets of L.A.
Especially the airy chorus makes you feel free and manages to hypnotize the listener.
I would call their genre a “futuristic funk” with a groove that grabs you and that begins to flow through your veins.
Asterous offer very refined music with a smart chord progression and very well thought out melodic intuitions.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
