You don’t name yourselves Edgar Allan Poets without a taste for the dark. Indeed, vocalist/guitarist Chrisis from South Africa and drummer Lop Noor from Norway specialize in what they call “noir rock.” Drawing on the likes of Bauhaus and early Cure, EAP delivers literate, slightly skewed epics for goth fans everywhere. Says Chrisis: “What I like about music today is that if you find a way to reach people–using all the weapons available–you can something bypassing the major labels, the big money biz. There is a chance for everybody.
