Actress Vera Farmiga rocks out to Slipknot’s ‘Duality’ in latest metal performance

Recently the famous actress of “Conjuring Universe” has performed a cover of Slipknot‘s song “Duality”. She later shared a clip of the video on her social media.

Before her performance, she said to Rock Academy’s public: ‘This is for all the chin-pressers, all the eye-pushers, the skin scratchers, the teeth grinders, anybody who’s trying to cope with anything!’.

Vera has done other metal shows. Last year she performed a cover of Iron Maiden with Scott Ian of “Anthrax” at the Rock Academy in Woodstock (New York). Previously, she had also performed a cover of Black Sabbath.


Commenting on Instagram on her latest show with Slipknot, Vera said she performed the song with “her friends at school”. She added: ‘It is the best music school on the planet. Sign up your kids now. And why let them have all the fun? Sign up yourself too. Come learn, come grow, come play, come have so much fun!’

But who is Vera Farmiga? The actress played several roles in various films including “The Departed”, “Source Code”, “Orphan” and the series “Conjuring”. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Supporting Actress in the film “Up in the Air”.

Vera is a fantastic actress. She is capable of turning a film with a silly premise into a believable story. As far as the metal world is concerned, she is married to Renn Hawkey, who played in the industrial metal band “Deadsy”. She is also a member of the Rock Academy, a school that teaches music to people of all ages.

The song “Duality” is one of the most famous songs of the Slipknot group and has become one of their symbols. The first version was released in 2004 and got a nomination for the Grammy Awards.

In the video Slipknot filmed the scenes together with 350 people inside a house. However, they completely destroyed the house. The band was forced to compensate the owners with a sum between 300,000 and 500,000 dollars!!!!
