our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to After Youth. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their attitude.
What a beautiful irreverent sound in typical English style this duo offers to us.
A direct sound, incisive that does not look at anyone in the face.
A voice that sings with that “bored” and rock attitude that is perfect for this genre.
The guitars push with simple but very effective riffs. A mix between rock, punk and grunge, this is the recipe of the sound of this band.
I really liked the energy that these songs give off and they awakened in me my most rock spirit.
I saw myself walking around London like Richard Ashcroft of The Verve did in Bitter Sweet Symphony, not caring about anything or anyone and going straight for my own way.
This music puts the grit on you and makes you feel free.
A band to keep an eye on because they create very good songs, produced in great quality.
Absolutely recommended.
