E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Anji Kaizen

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Anji Kaizen. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked her music a lot.

The first thing I liked in the sound proposed by this talented artist is the voice.

A peculiar vocal timbre, precise and rich in nuances that manages to make you believe the words sung in the lyrics.

The sound, in general, is very powerful in some moments it reminded me of a stronger version of The Cranberries and in others The Evanescence, a rock/hard rock living on the edge with metal without strings attached.

The melody of the new single Monster is intriguing, slightly nostalgic, and full of pathos and the production is very excellent.

The mix in particular leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.

A beautiful discovery that I recommend to everyone, an artist with a bright future ahead of her.

Powerful and Refined!

Songstress and alt-pop vocalist hailing from Atlanta GA, Anji Kaizen (“aw-nee / k-eye-zen”) is the front woman and mastermind of a project that ranges from moody, dark pop to upbeat indie and alternative rock in the veins of Paramore, Chvrches and Pvris. With powerhouse vocals, soaring melodic lines and memorable guitar riffs, each song is a unique journey through a musical soundscape of raw emotion.

Inspired by artists such as Lights, Hayley Williams and Ellie Goulding, Anji’s songs are intimate and poetic confessions that bring a refreshing honesty with thick vocal layers and big hooks. Her music is available worldwide on all online streaming services with Kaizen Records, and can be downloaded on anjikaizen.com
