This artist’s compositional style intrigued me.
The influences of this artist are multiple and the result is a fascinating sound blend. Folk, rock, and pop coexist in an enviable balance.
In some moments the music of Anthony J Milan made me think of Phil Collins, in others of Imagine Dragon. The production is professional and the vocal interpretation of this artist is masterful. A warm and communicative voice.
Anyone Else is an intense and touching song.
Honestly, it is at the same level as the songs that dominate the charts around the world. The chord progression is never obvious and banal and the rhythmic and harmonic variations manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
A nice discovery that I recommend everyone to go and listen to.

Anyone Else is Anthony J Milan’s Single Out Now
Thanks to his aunt, Anthony’s musical journey began before he was even born. An amateur singersongwriter, his aunt Lynn welcomed him into the world with the song, “A Blessing Called Anthony.” His parents also played him some of their favorite music when he was a baby, introducing him to the likes of the Beatles, Queen, Johnny Mathis and many more.
As he grew up, Anthony went through many musical phases. At different times, he enjoyed the sounds of classic rock, jazz, reggae, hip hop, classical, funk, and folk. In all of these genres, he found something to enjoy but it was the epic nature of classical music, the complexity of jazz, and the authenticity of folk music that most appealed to him and became the foundation of the music he would create.
In his more recent music, Anthony has become interested in using ambient sounds to set his songs in a place and time. Whether it be rain, wind, or quiet conversation, the sounds of nature and civilization meld seamlessly with his compositions to bring his listeners even further into the story.
While Anthony does play live shows once in a blue moon, his focus is on creation in the digital space, whether it be podcasts, videos, or his upcoming full-length album, That is the Question. This album will be released track-by-track over the next two years, starting with the track, “Anyone Else”, releasing in May 2023.
