our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Brian Barron. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his musical approach.
From the first seconds, I realized that I was in front of a great songwriter.
A compositional style that takes inspiration from musical traditions of the past but at the same time is modern and innovative.
The production is simple but effective, the arrangements are minimalist but inserted at the right moment and are placed like a veil on the sweet melody.
In my opinion, Brian’s new single ‘Junkie Boy’ is brilliant because it talks about a very serious problem like drug addiction in a sweet and fascinating way.
Guys with burnt lives that pass us by and that many times we do not even notice. This sweet song instead makes you see them and makes you think about what is behind those unfortunate stories.
A beautiful song that I recommend everyone to listen to.
