E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Bryce Evans

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Bryce Evans. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I was intrigued by his music.

I immediately liked the riff and the guitar sound and riff that introduces this song… it reminded me of bands like Incubus.

This direct rock without strings attached made me raise my arm with the horns pointed towards the sky.

The chord progression and harmonic intuitions are never predictable and banal and manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

Surely Bryce Evans is a musician with a great compositional experience behind him. His single Hurricanes is a solid song passionately performed by this talented artist.

I suggested everyone go and listen to him, a nice discovery indeed.

Direct and Refined!

Colorado-based blues-rock guitarist Bryce Evans is stepping out into the light showing his scars of depression, anxiety, and gender dysphoria. After the release of the socially impactful “Hard Times” and the guitar gauntlet of “Devils Hall” bryce is back with a new and different sound than his usual genre.

The upcoming release of “Hurricanes” sheds light on many people’s issues and asks for a helping hand in the fight.

When I wrote this song I was going through a bout of depression. I was also dealing with being myself in a world that wouldn’t allow it. I wrote the song with the intention of getting out what I felt and externalizing it so other people would understand. I soon found out that a lot of people felt the same way when I played it at a live show. The whole point of this release is to connect with people on another level. I want them to think they are not alone. We all need help, some of us whisper for it, others scream, but depending on the storm or the personal hurricane each of us faces that signal for help may or may not be heard.
