Good Day Noir Family,
Super Creeps step straight into their own smoky mythology with Certified Cardboard, an EP that feels drenched in moonshine and midnight electricity.

The first track, “House of Pain” opens like a ritual. A long, hypnotic guitar solo coils through the air, setting a trance-like tone before a single lyric is even sung.

Subtle pads hum in the background, lending the track a surprisingly spacious edge and hinting at something more modern beneath its roots-driven surface. When the vocals finally arrive after three minutes, they break the haze like a slow storm rolling in. The delivery is sultry and loose, channeling a theatrical energy that recalls The Doors without ever sounding like an imitation.

As “House of Pain” unravels, it becomes more distorted and chaotic, building until it collapses into its own haze. It’s music designed to make your mind drift, perfect for letting the world blur. In contrast, “A Bug’s Life” brings the focus snapping back with a gritty grunge riff and a driving beat. The guitars lock into a crunchy groove that shoots the EP straight into ‘90s territory, showing another side of the duo’s range while keeping their edge intact.

“Accomplice to Murder” sharpens that grunge influence even further. Its chorus swells with layered background vocals that make it unexpectedly sing-along worthy, while the verses keep a tense, low growl. It’s dark, but it moves with purpose. Then comes “Extended Adolescence,” the wildest moment on the record. This track feels instinctive and chaotic in the best way, bursting with sudden tempo shifts and dynamic twists while still holding tight to its grunge spirit.

Certified Cardboard proves that Super Creeps thrive on contrast—drenched blues, raw grunge, and flashes of psychedelic haze all crash together here. It’s unrefined, vibrant, and alive with instinct.

Super Creeps are a Bay Area–based garage rock duo made up of brothers Ash (guitar/vocals) and Manny (drums/vocals). Known for their raw, fuzz-drenched sound and wild, high-energy performances, they fuse noise-punk chaos with delta blues grit and lo-fi garage swagger. Their music blends snarling punk urgency with haunted drawl vocals, tribal drumming, and distorted guitar hooks that feel on the verge of combustion.

They’ve carved out a reputation for incendiary live shows, tearing through sets at events like SF Porchfest, Burning Man SF Decompression, and the San Jose Rock & Roll Marathon, leaving audiences stunned and eardrums ringing. With roots in the Bay’s DIY scene, Super Creeps thrive on spontaneity over polish, channeling the restless spirit of garage rock while pushing it into unhinged, genre-defying territory.
