our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Charlie Freeman. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I like his style and music a lot.
As soon as I pressed the play button I immediately realized that I was in front of a great singer-songwriter.
His compositional style and the maturity of his songs make it clear that this talented artist has a great compositional experience behind him… a true professional.
His new album “Love” is a masterful work, produced, interpreted, and played to perfection. All the songs are solid and flawless.
Charlie Freeman’s way of singing in some moments reminded me of Bob Dylan, the music instead is in typical English style with shades of John Mellencamp… energetic, full of melodic and rhythmic variations able to entertain the listener from the first to the last second. A truly interesting mix of influences.
The production is excellent and in particular the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element and the songs breathe well.
A beautiful find that I recommend to everyone!
