our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Chuck Phillips. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the nostalgic vibes of his music.
We are faced with a great musical author.
This artist offers us refined music made of real sounds and deep lyrics that touch the heart and that have the great ability to make you travel with your mind.
A compositional style that in some passages reminded me of John Mellencamp.
The chord progression is never banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second with interesting harmonic and melodic variations.
The voice interprets the lyrics of the songs very well and I personally believed what Chuck Phillips was singing.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

For most of his life Chuck Phillips has been playing popular rock tunes, live, on stages across easter North Carolina. Originally from the small waterfront community of Washington, NC, Chuck has been following his passion for singing, playing and writing music for more than 20 years.
‘Act I: Scene II’ is Chuck’s first full album of original music. Recorded over the past year in his home studio once most of the nation went into lockdown, Chuck produces and well as provides all of the instruments and vocals.
