E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Danny Addison
Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Danny Addison. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the refined music that he proposes.
As soon as you press the play button and the first notes begin to move your anvil and hammer inside your ear you are struck by the tone of the voice of this talented artist.
A high,warm and welcoming voice.
A unique timbre that immediately distinguishes Danny’s sound.
Very nice harmonic construction of the songs. A chord progression never banal that manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second and keeps you glued to the speakers.
Very good choice of sounds that have been recorded impeccably and you can feel the wood of the guitars and the vibrations of the strings.
The strings intervene to enhance the melody of the voice and are able to underline certain moments of the song.
Very refined music that reminded me of Seal at times.
A nice discovery that I absolutely recommend.

Mature and sophisticated music!
Hailing from a musical family in the small market town of Hitchin, Danny moved to Manchester in 2014 where he immediately began working across a myriad of projects as a multi-instrumentalist. Here, he was able to lend his skills as a guitarist, bass guitarist, vocalist and classically trained violinist to such folk outfits as Chloe Foy, Sophie Morgan, Anna McLuckie and John Dhali. These experiences allowed him to begin creating what has been described as a “unique brand of acoustic folk” in 2019.
His debut EP ‘Colour Songs’ was released in June 2020.
