E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Dear Amber

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Dear Amber. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their music a lot.

This band offers a powerful and epic sound that immediately struck me.

The first band I thought of as soon as I started listening to them are the Placebo.

Obviously, these guys managed to create something different and original by working a lot on their sound and by paying attention to every little nuance.

The chord progression is never predictable and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second with continuous twists and rhythmic variations.

The production is very good and every sound element finds the right space and the song breathes well.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Fascinating and Vibrant!

Dear Amber is an alternative rock band based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The group formed in 2019 and consists of Ronni Jørgensen and Rasmus Schou on vocals and guitar, Kenneth Juul Larsen on bass, and Jan Ettrup-Mikkelsen on drums and percussion. All of the members have a rich amount of experience creating, producing music, and performing live for the last 20+ years. Together, they’ve enjoyed delving into the classic 90s sound and crafting unique songs that are true to their artistic vision.

The band is due to release its debut EP “Sparks Equal Fall” in the late summer of 2021.

Dear Amber recalls the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Kashmir, and Placebo, to mention but a few bands. Even though they draw inspiration for their distinctive sound from the alternative rock scene in the 90s they
also have a fresh, powerful and contemporary feel.
