Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed The Best Around but this great band is out now with a new track and I want to share my thoughts about it.
I must say that the atmosphere and the rhythm of this song immediately won me over.
Vintage but at the same time modern sound, alternative rock with country and jazz nuances… a really interesting blend.
This band had already shown us to be very eclectic and innovative in the past and this feeling is also confirmed in this new single Didn’t Come Here to Count ‘Em.
The Best Around have a solid musical vision and have developed a very refined artistic taste that always allows them to make the best choices.
It is a pleasure to listen to their songs as you are able to feel the passion and intensity that this band puts into composing and interpreting their songs.
Didn’t Come Here to Count ‘Em is The Best Around’s Single Out Now!
Modern and Original!
Austin, Tx. band The Best Around have just released their new single “Didn’t Come Here to Count ’em”. Self-described as ‘cosmic honky-tonk big band’, the new single features country songwriting and instrumentation fused together with a rollicking horn section and synthesizers to create an infectious and refreshing take on rowdy alt-country. The song also features guest drums and percussion work from Ian Romano of Daniel Romano & The Outfit.
