The verse shifts gears, offering space. The instrumental backing strips down, letting the vocals step forward. Pulling back the weight just enough to create tension. When the chorus hits, it’s a jolt. Angular synths and sharp-edged tones fill the air like sonic shrapnel. There’s energy here, but it’s honed, directed. You can feel the design behind every spike in volume and every sudden shift in texture.

YACOVELLI is a “Nu York” Neo-Grunge, Punk, Alternative, Sleaze, Garage Rock band led by ever-evolving frontman Alex Yacovelli (DIY Producer, former member of bands Rich N Pretty and Not Your Queen’s English). Yacovelli brings a raw, untamed energy to every track, infusing indie rock with a spirit straight from the suburban garage. Alex’s music encapsulates the sweat and swagger of urban life. A fixture of the New York underground scene since the late 2000s, he’s notched incredible milestones — including sharing the stage with Weezer at their legendary Madison Square Garden debut. His songwriting skills also earned him an Honorable Mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Pop category) alongside Meghan Trainor. Gigs have included: Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery and 107.1 The Peak’s Pleasantville Music Festival.
