E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Duke & The Dry Cleaners

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Duke & The Dry Cleaners. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the relaxed vibes of their music.

I immediately liked the sound atmosphere that this band is able to create.

I found references to a way of composing music of the 80s, like those soundtracks of the TV series set in Los Angeles… do you remember the Chips and Starsky & Hutch? Poncherello would love Duke & The Dry Cleaners.

A refined sound that takes into account even the smallest nuance.

The band plays very well and you feel that they spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to reach such an enviable sound understanding.

Beautiful choice of sounds and the production, in general, is great. The mix leaves the right space for each sound element and the song flows and breathes well.

A relaxing music that is perfect in my opinion to fight the stress of everyday life.

Move Me is Duke & The Dry Cleaners’ Single Out Now!

Relaxingly Captivating!

In 2017, Oli Duke (lead vocals/keys/songwriter/co-producer) began working in the studio with co-producer Arjun Doel on a project that eventually developed into Duke & The Dry Cleaners. His tracks have been brought to life on stage by scintillating performances from some fine musicians:

Harry Gould – Bass, BVs, MD , Joe Williams – Drums , Max Ellenberger – Tenor Saxophone , Toby Daintree – Guitar, Eva Perrin Fontana – BVs

Each has brought their own musical identity to the table, resulting in a unique sound combining funk, disco, soul, jazz and dance.
