E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – The Old Revival

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to The Old Revival. I discovered this great band while surfing the net and it was love at first ear 🙂

I like the lively sound of The Old Revival, they reminded me a little bit of Lynyrd Skynyrd. A nice rock that comes directly from Oregon.

The musicians are very good, great guitars work without forgetting also very nice piano interludes.

The band also works very well with choirs creating interesting and catchy melodies.

I really liked the sound of the drums, especially the cymbals that are loud enough in the mix.

I feel that they are tight while playing and they are having fun, a cohesive band that produces great rock.

Beggars Dime is The Old Revival’s new single out now!

Cool energy and great musicians, a great rock band!

The Old Revivals’ Beggars Dime is a song that sets the tone of the record, and it introduces what “9 Meals from Anarchy” is going to feel like in terms of substance and musicality. With this being a loosely based concept record, Beggars Dime lyrically introduces the frustration of someone being left behind in life, sung over summertime feel-good melody and riffs. That contradiction, coming alive as things are falling apart, is a huge theme of this track and record. So much heart and soul went into capturing that feeling in a song, and I think Beggars Dime does that in a way we are really proud of.
