our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Elison. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify I liked their compositional style.
The sound proposed by this duo immediately intrigued me.
The twilight and hypnotic atmosphere of their music made me travel with my imagination. These magical melodies made me fly with the herons into the sunset.
The production is refined and the attention to every detail is obsessive, all the musical arrangements are very well thought out and the song, in general, flows well.
The new single Little Lies is accompanied by an ethereal video filmed in Super 8 where an angelic dancer moves sinuously on the notes of this beautiful song.
Surely Elison have a great musical talent and above all a very developed artistic taste.
I think their music will be very successful as their musical project is solid and their artistic vision mature.

Elison is are Indie rock duo from Des Moines, Iowa.
After 20 years of wishing, Marissa Kephart set out to make music for the first time. Using the extra space allotted to her during lockdown she found the courage to finally pick up the guitar and start singing. The release of “Little Lies” follows the recent success of their sophomore single, “Hopes & Horoscopes” which garnered features on over 70+ various music sites and outlets earning them a top 5 “most popular songs” on Hype Machine and being played on radio stations in the United States and England.
