E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Emma and the Fragments

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Emma and the Fragments. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the energy of their songs.

I immediately liked the sound of this band, a bit irreverent in the typical English style.

The singer’s voice is perfect for this genre with her rock and sexy attitude that immediately distinguishes the general sound of this band.

Beautiful drums that push incessantly followed like a shadow by the bass and guitars that with their acid and powerful sound give the right energy to the songs of Emma and the Fragments.

These guys spend a lot of time in the rehearsal room and you can see it from the great musical affinity that they were able to create.

The songs flow well and the chord progression is never banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.

Cool Rock Sound!

Emma and the Fragments are a female-fronted indie rock band currently based in East London. Their current line-up was completed in 2017, when guitarist Donn joined Jon on drums and Emma on lead vocals. Since then, Emma and the Fragments have made a name for themselves with their hard-edged indie rock, first heard on their 2018 EP Sanity.

On Sanity, Emma and the Fragments blend jangly guitars and dreamy harmonies with crashing crescendos, anthemic chorus’ and the occasional delay-drenched guitar solo. The end result is a uniquely multifaceted sound that rewards a second and third listen, one that would be equally at home in the playlists of both the most ardent Joy Division fan and a serious lover of Circa Waves and Foals.
