Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Fantast. I discovered this Band while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their unusual compositional style.
This band comes from the future, these guys were not born on this earth but they for sure come from a distant planet, a Fantast…ic place where anything is possible.
Imagine a world where opposites coexist in a unique balance, where water looks like earth and where the air suffocates you but makes you breathe.
This music is so unique and innovative that my third eye is opening up letting me know hidden parts of my unconscious.
I am lost but I’m finding myself and it is as if I am walking on a floor made of water, I have a hard time standing but if I fall I do not hurt myself.
This music is unique, avant-garde and surely these guys are brave and like to walk musical paths never walked before.
A marvelous discovery that I recommend to everyone.

FANTAST is a crossover trio that sits comfortably uncomfortable between Hip-Hop, Worldbeats and Alternative/Industrial. Synthesizers meet live drums, subby basses and lyrics that ask the question of one’s role in the ubiquitous dance on the edge. How could it get so far and why are we continuing in the same way? The siblings Daniel and Mario Gschwendtner as well as Georg Wolfmayr, Viennese by choice in times of political upheaval, make music as a form of poetic activism. Their energetic live shows: a celebration of empowerment! In the face of daily defeats, some small, some big, they use music as a way to create, imagine and design a different world.
