our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Flowstate. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked their “vintage” style.
Imagine Paris of the 50s and a smoky place where whisky flows freely and where well-dressed men and women are having fun.
This black and white photograph is accompanied by the beautiful music of this Duo.
A compositional style that winks at the past but manages to be modern at the same time.
Refined harmonic intuition and a never banal and predictable chord progression make Flowstate’s music truly enjoyable to listen to and you remain glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.
Excellent production and mix that leaves the right space for each sound element creating an incredibly attractive ‘sonic world’.

FLOW STATE are an electronic duo from the South-West of England who’s individually versatile and developed talents join together to create an engaging performance and a refined sound delivered with exuberant energy. Meeting in Bristol where they studied for 3 years, the couple depict the magic in the ordinary with their story-telling songs infused with pop, rock, soul and reggae.
Performing since 2018, the duo have immersed themselves in the feel-good music scene from local underground venues to larger than life festivals including Boardmasters and Bestival. With a string of releases set for 2021, the pair are guarenteed to leave audiences energised with a happy heart and sore feet.
