From Hell to Heaven is Archangel’s Single Out Now

Good Day Noir Family,
If you haven’t yet heard of Michael Kordek’s latest project Archangel, you’re in for a treat. The single “From Hell to Heaven” is a brutal, unrelenting ride that leaves a lasting impact long after the track ends.

From Hell to Heaven is Archangel’s Single Out Now

From the first few moments, you’re hit with a massive force, almost like a snowstorm barreling down on you at full force.

The music carries an intense weight. It’s heavy—much heavier than you might expect from a typical metal track.

The riffs strike with the same kind of aggression you’d expect from bands like Pantera, though Archangel infuses it with a layer of complexity that keeps it fresh.

There’s an undeniable groove at play here, but it’s never in a place of comfort. Instead, the track pushes boundaries by blending fast and slow beats with unpredictable rhythmic shifts that keep you on your toes.

The drumming is particularly impressive—shifting gears at just the right moments to elevate the intensity.

Kordek’s vocals are fantastic. They feel like they come from a place far darker than any earthly realm—his voice is raw, cold, and relentless, almost as if it’s reaching out from an underworld of its own.

When paired with the driving riffs and expertly timed percussion, it strikes like a cold punch to the chest.

Adding an even more intriguing dimension to “From Hell to Heaven” are the keys. They add a layer of atmospheric depth to the track, veering toward the ominous and unsettling.

It’s a subtle touch, but it’s this use of texture that makes the track stand out—turning what could be a straightforward metal song into something far more unique.

Ultimately, “From Hell to Heaven” is a fearless piece of metal that showcases a musician with immense skill. Kordek doesn’t shy away from exploring the genre’s more brutal, intense side, but he does so with an artistry that makes this song feel unlike anything else.

Michael Kordek, known as Archangel, was born on July 4 at 7:45 p.m. Polish time in Olsztyn. The first song he remembers hearing in his life is Fade to Black by Metallica. His uncle encouraged him to take up music, attempting to teach him how to play at the age of eight. However, his interest waned after two years of learning basic chords.

At 17, after attending a Hunter concert for the first time, he was so profoundly inspired that he sold his motorcycle and bought an electric guitar. From that moment on, the instrument became his constant companion, fueling his desire to share the artistry that the Hunter band had awakened in him. Unfortunately, at 20, he had to stop playing, leaving the guitar to rest in the corner of his room, though he continued to care for it weekly in the hope of returning to it one day.

At 32, he reignited his passion for music, purchasing a new guitar and a computer from his cousin, which enabled him to compose at home. Balancing work, single parenting, and sports, he dedicated himself to creating material for a strong album. That same year, he also began learning English, having never had the opportunity to do so before.

For Kordek, creating music is as essential as any physiological need. His solo project, Archangel, reflects his life experiences, determination, strength, and ideology. Every day, he strives for growth—learning a foreign language, refining his instrumental skills, and recently, attending voice classes to further his artistic development.
