Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Prince of Sweden in the past but this talented artist is back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.
The intimate and deep atmosphere that this artist’s music manages to create is unique and magical.
I have always loved songwriters who experiment not only with music but also with words, venturing into intricate vocal and musical progressions that have the ability to hypnotize you and make you travel with your imagination.
While listening to this song I saw myself driving down a road in the middle of a forest on a full moon night with my head full of thoughts but with the desire to be free again.
When the guitar started that repetitive and enigmatic solo, it seemed to me that I was able for a moment to touch the sky with my finger.
A mature artist, I honestly find no flaws in Prince of Sweden’s music, his voice, his style, and his words are a gift.
Garrison Lane is Prince of Sweden’s Single Out Now!
Prince of Sweden is a singer-songwriter from south London. He grew up in the country and learned guitar from the guy with the farm opposite his house.
“With a voice capable of speaking directly to the soul”, Prince of Sweden deals in “timeless songwriting” that “makes you feel like you’ve joined a secret society”.
Having released his debut EP “Live from a dark room” last year, “Garrison Lane” is the follow-up single with a fuller, more rounded sound that aims at new sonic and lyrical heights.
Prince of Sweden’s main influences come in the shape of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen.
