Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Gavin Doyle. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked his unique voice.
I was struck by the voice of this talented artist. Already From the first seconds I liked Gavin’s vocal timbre, warm and sincere.
I believed the words sung in the lyrics and I immersed myself in his sound and I began to travel with my imagination.
The songs proposed by this artist are profound and masterfully composed.
The chord progression is never banal and obvious and with continuous variation manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is very well done especially the mix that leaves the right space for each sound element and the song breathes well.
A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.
Colourblind is Gavin Doyle’s Single Out Now!
Refined and Sincere!
Gavin Doyle is a singer-songwriter, producer and BIMM graduate from Dublin. His new single ‘Before the Fall’ is his first release since 2014, when he made it to the semi-finals of RTE’s The Hit with his original song ‘Blush’.
Starting off his music career in school playing the tin whistle, Gavin wrote his first song at the age of 7. He then expanded his musical skills, learning to play a wide range of instruments including piano and saxophone. Being a part of the Phoenix Youth Marching Band offered a base for his love of music as a teenager. The wide range of experience gained over his time with the band saw Gavin leaning towards guitar and vocals as his main outlet for both performing and songwriting.
His various endeavours – including being a member of indie rock band Karma Kreek and pop-rock band The Geddes – have seen him performing in some of Dublin’s most popular venues. His natural flair for music has led to Gavin Doyle being a highly regarded session musician, performing with Heroes in Hiding supporting Picture This.
