An irreverent, daring, crepuscular, and brilliant style. Cleo Handler literally bewitched me, the sacred fire of rock flows in this artist’s blood.
While listening to these songs Lou Reed came to my mind. It’s as if this artist wants to season a cake full of poison with cream.
The lyrics are fantastic because they are different from the usual. Cleo Handler has creativity that explodes like bubbles from a shaken bottle of champagne.
She spits the truth at you in a candid way and I felt like she was staring at me while I was listening to her music like the actress of Pearl in the final scene of the movie… by the way, in my opinion, that movie can describe the atmosphere created by gold .
It is clear that we are dealing with an artist who has a vision that extends well beyond music.
I advise everyone to go and listen to Cleo Handler’s songs but always look over your shoulder while you do it. Someone may be watching you in the shadows.

Cleo Handler is a writer, actor, and director in Brooklyn/Los Angeles. A multi-hyphenate who loves horror/comedy, music/theater, and slashes/hyphens, she has created & directed several original films, including The Living, Olympian, Routine, and #LifeOnAir (an experimental, interactive mystery series told completely on Instagram), and has written several others, including Out to Lunch, Moon Party, and the musical web series Young Like Us. Her work has screened at and been recognized by Frightfest, the Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Film Shortage Premieres, and more, and her screenplay Good Girl was a 2022 finalist for the Sundance Institute Development Track / Sloan Commissioning Grant.
