E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like – Grant Nesmith

Good Day Noir Family,
our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Grant Nesmith. I discovered this Artist while shuffling songs on Spotify and I really liked the traditional vibes of his music.

Imagine yourself in a Mustang with the roof down driving the endless American roads, the ones where the sky seems bigger.

The wind in your hair brings back memories of past adventures and at that moment you feel free and let your mind go and you immerse yourself in your thoughts illuminated by the setting sun.

This is the image that the music of this artist has created in my mind.

Distant, delicate sounds that carry the roots of traditional American music, the music of the pioneers in a modern reinterpretation.

This artist’s crystal clear voice tells stories and hypnotizes you so much that you can’t tear yourself away from the speakers because you want to know how the story ends.

The beautiful chord progression is never predictable and surprises with unexpected changes that keep your attention from the first to the last second.

Dreams of the Coast is Grant Nesmith’s Album Out Now!

Music for those long journeys of self-discovery!

Grant began recording his latest album “Dreams of the Coast” in early 2020. This album blends the surf psychedelic sounds of his former band Ocean Forest, the American country twang of “Between Tides”, and is smoothed off with a mellow soft rock vibe.

It features heavy banjos, fiddle, and pedal steel, fuzzed out guitars, and reverb soaked 3 part harmonies. Notable appearances on the album include North Myrtle Beach native Sadler Vaden, (Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit), who plays lead guitar, alongside Gene Elders (George Strait, Lyle Lovett) on the fiddle. “Dreams of the Coast” is more of a collaboration than his previous works, with frequent guest appearances and varying influences.
