Sweet Arrow are: Xavier Diaz (lead vocals, backing vocals, drums, percussion), Nathan Tamburro (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass).
This song was recorded during the Covid 19 pandemic. Melbourne was in lockdown. We took that opportunity to work on our first album. Whilst working on our first album Nathan shared with me the opening lick of this track. The lyrics came almost immediately.
Xavier and Nathan started their musical journey together in 2015. Getting together to jam was a source of fun after Xavier came out of a long-term relationship break up and Nathan was experiencing mental health challenges at the time. They soon discovered they had a musical chemistry as Xavier was inspired to pen lyrics to Nathan’s infectious guitar riffs. The goal was to record demo’s of their songs, however life’s challenges continued to confront the group delaying their progress. In 2020 when the covid lockdowns hit Victoria the band took it as an opportunity to record their debut studio album. As a duo they have covered all the bases of a 5 piece band with Nathan on rhythm, lead and bass guitar. Whilst Xavier is on drums, percussion, lead and backing vocals. Sweet Arrow’s mantra is strength through adversity.
