The sound proposed by this band is very interesting. A compositional style that is difficult to label as it is modern and vintage at the same time.
Surely we are faced with talented musicians with great compositional skills. The chord progression is never obvious and banal and manages to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
The production is very good and the performance impeccable.
It feels like these guys have spent a lot of time in the rehearsal room to achieve such an enviable musical understanding.
Superswell is a very interesting band as they offer quality music. I recommend everyone to go and listen to these guys.
I’m curious to follow them to know what they will be able to do in the future.
A great find that I recommend to everyone.

I Don’t Believe It’s True is Superswell’s Single
The alternative rock band from Brooklyn makes high-energy anthems for people looking for genuine connections with others and music. Their message of sincerity has been heard at intimate clubs in NYC and college DIY venues in upstate NY this past year. Originally Fake Frank, Superswell changed their name in 2023 following a lineup change and departure from the indie pop rock sound that defined the group’s foundational years.
The new name fittingly evokes ‘90s alt rock nostalgia and imagery of the Long Island beaches where they worked summer jobs. The band is excited to share their new music, which embraces influences from grunge, indie rock, and post-punk.
