As soon as I hit the play button and heard this vintage tune I breathed a sigh of relief.
Blues always manages to fill your soul and free your head from bad thoughts.
I was transported back in time and saw myself dancing in a bar in New Orleans in the 60s.
Blues songs are all similar and therefore it is the nuances that differentiate them. This music must come from the heart and soul and the passion must ooze from the notes.
This is the feeling I had while listening to I Have Been Waiting. Carsten Schnell put his soul into this song and I believe him as he sings.
It’s a perfect song for the genre and demonstrates once again the great compositional skills of this talented artist… his creativity knows no bounds.
