Good Day Noir Family,

our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Still The Man and their new single IMMORTAL. I found this band on Spotify and I was intrigued by their music.

The power of the opening drum riff immediately won me over. The new single from this talented band embodies very special energy.

An alternative rock that takes its cue from the past but manages to be modern at the same time. It is as if Still The Man were a more powerful version of Christian Death and The Cure.

These guys have managed to create a really interesting sonic blend that makes them stand out from the crowd.

The atmospheres created by this song are intriguing and mysterious. A crepuscular style ideal for the people of the night.

Surely we are faced with amazing musicians with a great compositional experience behind them.

I was very impressed with their music which somehow spoke directly to my soul.

A nice discovery that I recommend to everyone.

Still The Man garnered a lot of attention and rave reviews for their debut album “Myth”. But rather than playing it safe the Danish duo, consisting of Ole Løhde (vox/drums) and Kristoffer Veirum (guitars/bas/synths), are going in a different direction on their new material.

The band’s intuitive sense for the popish qualities of music are still being balanced against a heavy backdrop of rock music, but the sound is beginning to lean heavier on stoner rock and garage rock.

With loud guitars, fuzzy tones, an irresistible melody, a kick-ass chorus and hotter than hell guitar-solo, “IMMORTAL” is Still The Man blazing on all cylinders.
