Good Day Noir Family,
TiLT 360 launched their EP It Grows with a title track that doesn’t waste time easing in.
It Grows is TiLT 360’s Ep Out Now
An atmospheric vocal intro teases tension before the guitars kick in, throwing you straight into a riff-heavy explosion that channels the raw energy of the ’90s while maintaining a sharp, modern edge.
There’s a sense that this band isn’t here to mess around—they arrive with weight, grit, and a clear sonic identity.
“It Grows” is thick with distorted guitars and loaded dynamics, fusing the brooding nature of grunge with the aggression of hard rock and metal. There’s an urgency that feels real—like each note has something to prove.
The second track, “Innocence,” follows with a tank-like force. The guitar tone is heavy and unrelenting, providing a crushing backdrop to a rhythm that drags you in with its pulse. There’s contrast too—where the verses are tight and grounded, the chorus lifts into something more open, giving the track space to breathe without losing momentum.
“The Ride Down” stands out for its hypnotic intro riff, looping just enough to settle into your mind before the rest of the song builds around it. There’s a strong echo of Alice in Chains here, especially in the layered harmonies during the chorus. The track plays with emptiness and density, pulling back and surging forward to mirror emotional highs and lows. It’s introspective without being soft—more like a heavy ballad forged in tension.
Closing the EP is “Drown,” which opens with tribal rhythms and sinuous guitar textures that build a sense of anticipation. The bass slinks in like a predator, adding an ominous edge. When the guitars crash in fully, the mood turns dark and dystopian. The final scream near the end feels like a cathartic release, one that almost demands you hit play again.
TiLT 360 deliver a debut that’s gritty, focused, and full of electricity. This is a band that thrives on mood and muscle, and It Grows shows their ability to create music that hits hard while staying thoughtful.

Explosive!
TiLT 360 is an alternative metal/grunge rock band from Youngstown, Ohio. Active from 1999 to 2010, the band gained a loyal following with their dynamic live shows and emotionally charged sound, sharing stages with national acts like Nonpoint, Smile Empty Soul, The Exies, and Mushroomhead. Their discography includes a self-titled demo (1999), two EPs — Point Blank (2007) and It Grows (2025) — and the full-length album Day 11 (2008). Their single “Point Blank” was even featured on the K.O. highlight reel of former Middleweight Champion Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik.
TiLT 360’s music evolved from early nu-metal influences to a more melodic, alternative metal style, showcasing raw emotion, lyrical depth, and a distinctive sound reminiscent of bands like Deftones, Chevelle, Alice In Chains, and Tool. Vocalist Billy Smaltz’s powerful lyrics often reflect personal battles, particularly his struggles with addiction, adding an intense, authentic edge to the band’s music.
After a long hiatus, TiLT 360 has begun discussing new material and reunion shows.
Great write up on the songs, not because I’m in the band And wrote them… Although that helps . Nah, just insightful and damn near spot on with every track in your description. You took some time on this and we appreciate it, nice working with ya.
